Thank you so much to Nittany Greyhounds for hosting Greyhounds in Gettysburg!  What a great time it was!! The rain did nothing to dampen anyone's spirit! 

 

Heading home to Texas. I've missed my boys and our furkids.  Thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit!  I don't think of myself as a super social person, but at greyhound events I just can't help it! I think I'm only a social with greyhound peeps!! 😉

Greyhounds Reach the Beach 2015

While today started entirely too early (3:30am), I'm so excited to be on my way to Dewey!!  Hooray!  I've actually arrived at my gate with plenty of time before boarding.   Not always easy to do. You would *think* the lines at airport security would be short at 5am, but this is not the case. Apparently a LOT of people take early morning flights! 😉😀 Anyhow, I'm excited for the next leg in my adventure to begin! 

I can't wait to see everyone! This year I am vending in Rehoboth at Epworth United Methodist Church, Thursday October 8th through Saturday October 10th.  I'm thrilled to premiere my Forever In My Heart collection at Greyhounds Reach the Beach! We lost our sweet Macy this year, and not a day goes by that I don't think about her.  As a tribute, I started creating different designs that reminded me of her and our babies that have passed on before her.  We all know too well that the joy of loving these wonderful creatures also means that one day we will part.  But these special souls always will live on in our hearts. Created from fine silver, sterling silver, and semi-precious gemstones, this collection will be available in just a few short days!  Not going to Dewey?  It will be available online in mid-October. Stay tuned to my Facebook page for an announcement when it is live! 

An introduction...

Let me introduce myself.  I’m a statistician by training, and a jewelry artist and greyhound lover as well.  I’m lucky enough to be able to incorporate the latter two traits in Shannon O’Reilly Designs.  And now I’m excited to start blogging, something that has been on my radar for a LOOOOONG time!  My recent website redesign and upcoming road trip seemed like the perfect storm to bring it all together!!

I’ve been holed up in my jewelry studio furiously getting ready for The Grapehound Wine Tour, also known as Grapehounds New York.  While it will not be my first time vending there, it WILL be the first time we've DRIVEN to the event.  Did I mention that I live in Texas?

So we are about to embark on a good old-fashioned road trip from Texas to the Finger Lakes area of New York.  Extremely happy that the family is joining me for this event; they are wonderful employees, I work them hard! =) They aren't always able to attend the events I vend at, but summer greyhound events work well for us.

If you have never been to a greyhound event, I heartily recommend The Grapehound Wine Tour as a place to start!  It’s a relaxing event, plenty of time to enjoy greyhounds, shopping, music, and of course, wine!!  You can find us this year vending at Pompous Ass Winery July 31st & August 1st, 2015.  Hope to see you there!
